Below are some examples of audio for video work that I’ve done.
NYLON Media
NYLON was a fashion and lifestyle magazine, and is now a website, that features live and pre-recorded musical performances as part of their online content. I was one of two freelance audio engineers NYLON would bring in to assist their video team when they shot content that featured musical performances. Here are some of the videos where I recorded and mixed the audio:
Aaron Copland School of Music – Queens College CUNY:
I oversaw the transition to live streaming all of the School of Music’s events and performances in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in fall 2020. Prior to that semester, the School of Music’s YouTube channel was only used to publish pre-recorded content. Most performances and events were still live streamed in 2023, and the YouTube channel has over 1,600 subscribers. It’s a valuable resource for current students and their teachers to watch and evaluate their performances, and high-profile events such as the QC Orchestra and QC Choral Society concerts would often attract between 50 and 100 live viewers.
GeneticaLens:
Very early in my career, I did production sound for the Well Child Lens project, an autism research project funded by the National Institutes of Health. We filmed children on all stages of the autism spectrum at hospitals and their homes in New York City, New Jersey and Long Island. The videos were tagged and loaded into a database to help medical professionals identify signs of autism in children.
